About Us:
Nestled atop a hill overlooking James Creek, Riverwatch Middle School, a part of the Forsyth County School System, serves the southeastern Forsyth community. Established in the fall of 2003 and welcoming students the following year, the school has fostered a culture of excellence in academics, athletics, and service since its inception. Riverwatch boasts State School Superintendent Awards, as well as Gold and Platinum distinctions for student performance, achievement, and progress.

Complementing academics, Riverwatch offers team sports and a diverse array of extracurricular activities to enhance the middle school experience.
Achievements:
Committed to fostering student academic success, as evidenced by recent accolades including being named a 2009 Georgia School of Excellence and a 2019 Platinum Award recipient from the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement. Additionally, we are honored to have been designated a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
