Future
Our mission is to empower students leaving Palmetto Elementary School to become self-directed learners who are responsible and productive contributors to society.
Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program
Our school is excited to participate in the USDA’s Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program, which provides a free fresh fruit and vegetable snack during the school day! This program aims to expand the variety of fruits and vegetables that children experience while increasing their overall consumption of these healthy foods.
Starting in September, students will enjoy a free fresh fruit or vegetable snack every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. For the snack menu, please visit our website homepage.
Media Center Mission Statement
The Fulton County Schools Media and Educational Technology department fosters academic excellence by empowering students and staff to become proficient and discerning users of ideas and information. The Media and Educational Technology Instructors (METIs) support instructional staff in leveraging technology to differentiate instruction and deliver rigorous, relevant, and engaging learning experiences for all students. The department also curates balanced and pertinent collections of digital and print resources for both teachers and students. These digital resources are accessible to all students anytime, anywhere, on any web-enabled computer, laptop, or mobile device
The Media Specialist
Mrs. Norman
Hello, book lovers! With over 10 years of teaching experience, I am thrilled to be the METI (Media and Educational Technology Instructor) at PES. I encourage a love for reading through class checkouts, ebooks, book fairs, and by ordering new and engaging books that pique students’ interests. Additionally, I focus on creating a 21st-century learning environment. I’m excited to work with all the students this year! Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, reading, baking, and spending time with my husband and our two-year-old son, Jacob. See you in the library!
