Rocky Mount Elementary School Policies
Rocky Mount Elementary School provides Advanced Math and Advanced English Language Arts and Reading programs tailored for eligible 4th and 5th-grade students. Comprehensive assessment data reflecting students’ abilities, achievements, and performances determines placement in these advanced courses. Selected students participate in a dynamic learning environment led by specially trained instructors within homogenous groups. In addition to covering grade-level standards, these programs offer enriched learning experiences. As a result, problem-based learning, research projects, and accelerated pacing challenge and engage students at an elevated level. Our staff offers specialized services catering to identified gifted students across all grade levels. After School Program
The After School Program (ASP) extends the learning day for all students and is available to every student enrolled. Operating on all regular school days, including Conference Week and scheduled early dismissals, the program runs from dismissal until 6:00 p.m. Parents can pick up their children at any time during these hours but must collect them no later than 6:00 p.m. A fee of $1.00 per minute per student applies for any time beyond the 6:00 p.m. cutoff. Parents who incur charges for three late pickups must arrange alternative after-school care for their child. Additionally, there is an annual non-refundable registration fee of $20.00, along with a daily fee of $10.00 per individual. This payment is due prior to the FIRST DAY A CHILD ATTENDS EACH WEEK. ASP registration and payment are through ParentVue.
