Hendricks Live! Morning Broadcast

At the start of each school year, 4th and 5th-grade students are invited to apply for positions on the Hendricks Live crew. This unique opportunity allows students to learn the ins and outs of delivering announcements on camera, managing behind-the-scenes operations, and operating our cameras, video mixer, and soundboard. Being a part of the Hendricks Live crew requires teamwork and responsibility.

Selected crew members are expected to arrive promptly by 7:30 am on their assigned day each week. Throughout their tenure, all crew members will gain hands-on experience in various roles essential for the success of our broadcast. Many students who participate in this program develop confidence and initiative as they contribute to the seamless execution of our show by 7:50 am each morning. These skills extend beyond the broadcast studio, fostering improved social skills and leadership qualities in the classroom and beyond.

Husky Ambassadors Club

The Husky Ambassadors Club is dedicated to fostering positivity, embodying the Husky Way behaviors, enhancing leadership skills, and engaging in community service. Students selected for this club meet monthly with the School Counselor to plan and participate in engaging community service projects both at school and within the wider community. Additionally, club members have the chance to partake in leadership activities alongside district-level leaders throughout the academic year.

Selection for the club is made by second-grade teachers, recognizing students who show promise in leadership and community involvement. This initiative not only enriches our students’ educational experience but also strengthens their connections to the community.
