About Oak Grove Elementary Fine Arts Academy
Oak Grove Elementary STEAM Academy is an accredited K-5 public school located in Cherokee County, Georgia, approximately 30 miles north of Atlanta. Situated in a rapidly growing suburban area in the southwest corner of the county, Oak Grove has a rich history dating back to its opening in 1935 with about 100 students and four teachers. The original school building consisted of four classrooms and an auditorium.
Since 1958, Oak Grove has undergone five classroom additions, including a gymnasium funded entirely by parental support. The most recent addition was completed in 1993.
