About Us:

Oakcliff Traditional Theme School is often referred to as the “hidden gem” of Doraville, if not all of DeKalb County. Situated within the Cross Keys cluster, Oakcliff caters to students residing in the Cary Reynolds, Dresden, and Hightower school zones. Nestled in a serene neighborhood along the Buford Highway corridor, we embody the essence of a true community school. Our proximity to this bustling thoroughfare contributes to the rich diversity within our student body, evident in the vibrant tapestry of languages spoken among the families of our over 600 students.

Defined by the DeKalb County School District as offering a comprehensive, interdisciplinary educational program within a structured environment, Oakcliff Traditional Theme School engages students in challenging pursuits, including home study projects and exposure to a world language. Our cross-curricular approach fosters research-centered assignments and hands-on projects that demand problem-solving and critical thinking skills. In addition to our designation as a theme school since 1999, Oakcliff attained STEM certification in 2017.
