OVERVIEW
Salem Middle School is situated in the community of Lithonia, 18 miles east of Atlanta. Our dedicated staff includes 76 full-time certified teachers, 6 paraprofessionals, 4 secretaries, 10 cafeteria staff members, 7 custodians, and 1 transportation manager.
We offer 13 extracurricular organizations for student participation, including two academically focused programs that provide instructional and extracurricular opportunities, keeping our students actively engaged in the learning process.
The vision of Salem Middle School is to achieve academic excellence through collaboration with all stakeholders, providing a world-class educational program for all students.
