Tapestry Public Charter School is dedicated to providing an inclusive and personalized learning environment that engages students academically. Our mission extends to both neurotypical students and those on the autism spectrum, aiming to cultivate a positive school culture where all individuals are empowered to embrace their unique talents and shape their own futures.

Vision

Tapestry aspires to deliver a rigorous and enriching education tailored to meet the needs of a neurodiverse student population in grades 6-12. Through our inclusive approach, we strive to establish an innovative academic model that sets a standard for inclusivity and excellence, inspiring others to replicate our success.

Academic Model

Tapestry is a departure from traditional education’s “one-size-fits-all” approach. We reject the classification of students into “general education” or “special education” categories and instead celebrate the diverse learning profiles of all our students. Our model is rooted in the belief that each student is unique and deserving of inclusion in all aspects of the learning journey. Through our fully inclusive academic model, Tapestry provides a platform for every student to thrive.

Co-Taught Classrooms: Our co-teaching model pairs general education and special education teachers, offering academic rigor and support within the same classroom. This approach ensures highly differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

Focus on Technology: Technology integration empowers students with digital learning opportunities. Each student receives a personal Chromebook, facilitating remote connection, progress tracking, and access to resources, particularly during Virtual Days or remote learning.

Commitment to the Arts: The arts are integral to our curriculum, with robust music, art, and drama programs. Partnerships with organizations like the Alliance Theatre and Atlanta Symphony enrich our offerings, providing students with opportunities for creative exploration both in and out of the classroom.
